Is Lumière free?

Lumière is free to download on iOS. The free tier covers tone-aware face scans, your routines, the weekly Journey map, the community, Skin Twin matching, and weather-aware tips. Lumière Pro is the paid tier, available at $9.99/month or $69/year (saves 42%) — billed via Apple In-App Purchase, no trial, cancel anytime in iOS Settings. Pro adds longitudinal AI coaching across every scan, proactive anomaly alerts, and the deep-dive clinical report. The free tier is the trial: if Lumière works on your skin, the upgrade is real; if it doesn't, you owe nothing.

Is my skin data safe?

Yes. All photos and personal data are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), stored in isolated AWS S3 buckets, and never shared with advertisers or sold. Our analysis sub-processor is contractually prohibited from using your photos to train general models. See our Privacy Policy for the full sub-processor list and what each one receives.

Is the AI a medical diagnosis?

No. Lumière is not a medical device and our AI assessments are for informational and educational purposes only. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare provider for medical skin concerns. See our Medical Disclaimer.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time:

  • In the app: Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account
  • Via the web: Use this form
  • By email: privacy@lumiere-skin.us

All your data — photos, profile, scans, chat history, journal entries, comments — is deleted from our systems within 30 days.

How do I report a user or post?

Tap the Report button on any post or comment inside the app. We review every report within 24 hours. For urgent issues, email moderation@lumiere-skin.us.

How do I block another user?

Tap Block on any post, comment, or user profile. You can manage your blocked list at any time in Profile → Privacy & Data → Blocked Users.

Can I use Lumière without taking a face scan?

Yes. After completing the quiz you can skip the scan and explore the app. Some features (the Skin Journey, AI insights, progress tracking) need at least one scan to work — but routines, the community, and Skin Twin are all available scan-free.

Why am I not getting a verification email?

Check your spam folder first. If you still don't see it, our team can manually verify your account — email support@lumiere-skin.us from the address you signed up with.
