Lumière's community features — the Glow Feed, comments, and Skin Twin chat — are spaces for users to share experiences, ask questions, and support each other on their skincare journey. These guidelines exist to keep those spaces safe, kind, and useful for everyone.
By posting any content to a Lumière community surface, you agree to follow these guidelines. They form a binding part of our Terms of Service.
Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted and will be removed:
- Hate speech, slurs, harassment, or threats targeting any individual or group
- Sexually explicit content, including any content depicting minors
- Content promoting violence, self-harm, or suicide
- Spam, scams, or misleading commercial content
- Medical misinformation, unverified treatment claims, or content that discourages users from seeking professional medical advice
- Doxing, sharing of personal contact information, or other privacy violations
- Impersonation of other users, public figures, or Lumière staff
- Malware, phishing links, or any content designed to compromise other users
Pre-Publication Filtering
Posts and comments are automatically screened by Lumière's content moderation system before they appear in the community. Content that matches our prohibited patterns will be blocked at submission time.
Automated filtering is not perfect. Some content slips through and some innocent content is incorrectly flagged. If you believe your content was wrongly blocked, contact moderation@lumiere-skin.us.
User Reporting
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on any post or comment. Reports are anonymous to the reported user. Available report categories include:
- Spam — repetitive, unsolicited commercial content
- Harassment — targeted personal attacks or threats
- Misinformation — unverified medical or treatment claims
- Inappropriate — content that violates community standards
- Other — anything else that doesn't fit the categories above
Moderation Response Time
We commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours of submission.
Confirmed violations will result in content removal and, where appropriate, account warnings or termination. Reporters do not receive individual case updates, but the reported content will be removed if it violates these guidelines.
Blocking Other Users
You may block any user from your Lumière experience at any time. Once blocked, that user's posts and comments will be hidden from your feed, post detail pages, comments, bookmarks, and leaderboard.
You can manage your blocked users list at any time in Profile → Privacy & Data → Blocked Users. Unblocking a user immediately restores their content to your view.
Account Action
Repeated or severe violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:
- Removal of the offending content
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
- Reporting to law enforcement where legally required
Appeals
If your content was removed or your account was actioned and you believe this was a mistake, you may appeal by emailing moderation@lumiere-skin.us with:
- Your account email address
- The post or comment that was removed (or a screenshot)
- Your reason for the appeal
We respond to all appeals within 24 hours.
A Note on Skincare Discussions
Lumière is a place to share skincare experiences, not medical advice. When discussing products, ingredients, or routines:
- Share what worked for you, not what others should do.
- Be wary of "miracle" claims and pyramid-selling structures.
- For skin conditions that may be medical (persistent rashes, sudden changes, severe acne), always recommend the user consult a dermatologist.
- Lumière's AI insights are educational, not diagnostic.
