What this means
Some skincare products recommended in the Lumière app are accompanied by affiliate links. When you tap one of these links and complete a purchase from the third-party retailer, Lumière may earn a small commission on the sale.
This is a standard model used across the skincare and beauty industry, and it helps us keep Lumière free for everyone on mobile.
How it works
- You see a product recommendation in the app. The recommendation is based on your skin profile, scan results, concerns, ingredient compatibility, and weather context.
- If you tap "Shop", you may be directed to Amazon, the brand's website, or another retailer through an affiliate link.
- If you complete a purchase, the retailer tracks the referral and pays Lumière a commission, usually within a 24-hour window.
- You pay nothing extra. The price you see is the price you pay. Affiliate links do not change the cost of any product.
Our commitments
We take the trust you place in our recommendations seriously. Here is what you can count on:
- Affiliate status does not affect AI scoring. Our skin analysis, health scores, and product match scores are calculated by an algorithm that does not see commission rates. The matching engine uses skin type, concerns, ingredient compatibility, allergies, weather, season, and scan-derived condition markers — never affiliate revenue.
- We recommend products we believe will work for you. If a non-affiliate product is the best match for your skin, we will recommend it.
- The presence of an affiliate link does not change the price. You pay exactly what any other customer of that retailer would pay.
- You are never required to purchase anything. Every recommendation is optional.
- We disclose affiliate relationships clearly. Affiliate-linked products are labelled in the app and again here on the public website.
- We do not accept paid placements. Brands cannot pay to be ranked higher in your recommendations.

Cookies from affiliate links
When you tap an affiliate link, the destination retailer (Amazon or other) may set a tracking cookie in your browser for the purpose of attributing your purchase to Lumière. These cookies are set by the retailer, governed by their privacy policy, and are not under Lumière's control.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. Doing so may prevent Lumière from earning commission on your purchase, but it will not affect your ability to use the Service or buy the product.
